Gateshead athletes shone at the English Schools Championships held on home turf at Gateshead Stadium last weekend. With a gold medal in the Inter Boys 100m Hurdles Jason Nicholson set a liftetime best and club record. Emily Gargon also won her second English Schools Championship medal in a row in the Inter Girls Triple Jump. Al0ngside them on the podium were Amelia Bateman with a Bronze in the Junior Girls High Jump, Beth Pringle, Lucy Turner and Steph Addision with silver in the Senior Girls 4 x 100m relay and Emma Scarborough and Plamedi Mukendi with bronze in the Junior Girls 4 x 100m relay.
